Paul Pogba Deal?

Paul Pogba previously played for Man United, we all know that, but if City can sign one of the most talented midfielders in the European game we wouldn’t turn down the Juventus man would we.

Why would we? If we don’t sign him up then they’ll take him back, not that he wants that move by all accounts, and if not them Chelsea could try, Madrid or PSG etc. will so if a £50m deal is financially viable, taking into account we’ve got to be watchful of the FFP, it’s got to be a no-brainer hasn’t it?

A natural replacement for Yaya Toure and almost a decade his junior….

Speaking of Yaya, I must say congratulations to both he and Wilfried Bony on becoming African Cup of Nations winners, which the Ivory Coast of course became on Sunday by winning a dramatic penalty shootout.

Noises continue to be made that Yaya will move on in the summer with ‘one final big move’ is what the Express say he could be looking for, with Inter and Roberto Mancini showing an interest, with the same paper at the weekend claiming that we were at ‘the front of the queue’ to sign the 21-year-old?

I think we’ll see some players, perhaps a number of them, move on this summer and with Stevan Jovetic one of them, despite Manuel Pellegrini saying he’s still ‘in his future plans’ with Juventus so ‘desperate’ to sign him he could actually be key to this deal? The problem is, even if we valued Stevan at £15m-£20m we still need to cough up around £30m for the French international.

A doable deal? With some summer juggling to fit in with the FFP rules maybe so, which if it is then I wouldn’t hesitate in bringing him to the Etihad in the summer….
