Pedro Porro has impressed while on loan at Sporting and is expected to turn the move permanent before the summer of 2022.
The 21-year-old joined Manchester City in 2019 but could leave without making an appearance as Record (h/t Sport Witness) say Sporting can land his signature anytime in the next 18 months for €8.5m (£7.5m).
A Bola (h/t Sport Witness) recently reported that City safeguarded themselves from losing the young defender for good by inserting a buy-back clause, but it’s unknown how much they’ll have to pay for Porro.

The Spanish U21 international joined City on a five-year deal from Girona in 2019 and has yet to make an appearance at senior level.
Porro was loaned out to Real Valladolid (August 12, 2019 – July 20, 2020) in his first season and Sporting (August 15, 2020 – June 30, 2022) in his second, as Pep Guardiola has preferred Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo at right-back.
Porro has featured 22 times for Sporting this season and scored the winning goal in January’s Portuguese League Cup triumph. Sporting are happy with the defender’s form and are willing to sign him permanently, but they don’t need to make a decision until next year.
