Apparently Manuel Pellegrini has been offered the newly vacant head coach role at Brazil.
It’s a bit of a non story as if the speculation is true, as fans will no doubt know already, he’s turned them down anyway.
News broke yesterday in a number of outlets, notably The Mirror, that our manager had been identified by the Brazilian FA to become Luiz Felipe Scolari’s replacement following his ‘resignation’ after their disappointing showings in the self held World Cup this summer.
Shall we mentioned the 7-1 against Germany….probably not.
Foreign media had Pellegrini tipped as one of the leading contenders following his track record and his success with us last season, but when speaking to the 60 year olds representatives they ‘were told he would honour his contract with City and was not interested in the role.’
Who would be? More of a poisoned chalice than England at the moment.
