Bernardo Silva looks set to stay at Manchester City after a move to Barcelona fell through, but Duncan Castles of The Times says Paris Saint-Germain are trying to capitalise on the situation.
The 28-year-old has admitted wanting out of City for two consecutive summers, but it was Barcelona he wanted to join above all. Silva wanted a move to the Spanish club to be closer to family in Portugal, so it’s unlikely he’d consider PSG.

Barcelona are cash-strapped and have monumental debt, so they’re unable to pay the €100m (£84m) City are requesting for Silva. PSG are able to stump up the money, however, though The Times’ report say they may only pay £59.1m.
Silva was happy to stay at the Etihad Stadium if he couldn’t get sign for Barca, so it’s hard to see him clamouring for a move to PSG. The prestige of Barca was significant.
The Portuguese international made 50 appearances in all competitions for City last season, scoring 13 goals with seven assists. Silva has made two appearances this campaign, though they’ve both come from the bench while his future has been uncertain.
