Report: Real Madrid ‘renew interest’ in Man City man with 0 apps under Pep Guardiola

Pedro Porro has yet to make an appearance for Manchester City since joining in 2019 and it appears he won’t get the chance to play for the Premier League champions as he’s currently on loan at Sporting with a buying option while O Jogo say Real Madrid have ‘renewed their interest’ in him.

The 22-year-old was immediately loaned out to Real Valladolid (2019 – 2020) after joining City and made 15 appearances for the Spanish outfit. The following season saw Porro join Sporting (2020 – 2022) and he’s so far made 44 appearances across the board.

The Portuguese Primeira Liga outfit have the option to buy Porro at the end of his loan spell for €8.5m (£7.3m), but Real’s interest could see them turn in a profit if they sold him on. City are missing out on a lot of money and could be missing out on a talented player.

Clearly Porro have developed well while being loaned out, but City won’t be the beneficiaries of it. Instead, it could be Sporting or Real that have the 22-year-old at their disposal permanently next season which is a loss.
