Manchester City’s Premier League record signing Robinho has finally spoken out over the speculation regarding interest from Spanish giants, Barcelona.

If the ongoing rumours are true then the 25-year-old could be on his way out of Eastlands for around £33m as early as January.

Mark Bowen recently stated on City’s offical website that Robinho has a future with the club, although the Brazilian’s recent comments to the media could suggest otherwise.

‘Of course I would like to play for Barca. Who would not? We could have so much fun,’ stated the City star.

‘It would be a pleasure to play alongside Messi, my compatriot Dani Alves, Xavi, Iniesta, Ibrahimovic, with all of them.

‘They’re a great team. I played against them and know their quality. But right now I can only do it on the PlayStation.

‘It is a pleasure to watch Barca play. They look like the best Brazilian team with the way that they use the ball. Pep Guardiola’s team is truly spectacular.’

The talismanic striker went on to say, ‘It is a question of sitting down and talking when there is a serious and concrete proposal and, as I have said before, I have not personally received that.

‘Now would not be the right time to say things that could be badly interpreted here or there.’

‘I have a contract with City and, being the professional that I am, I am dedicated to them.’

Such comments will undoubtedly fuel the growing questions regarding Robinho’s future, regardless if he has stated that he is currently committed to the club or not.

If Pep Guardiola does indeed hold ambitions of luring the Brazilian to the Nou Camp, you can undoubtedly expect his departure.
