Alan Irvine, the new West Brom boss, knows the 23-year-old midfielder well from his time as Everton no.2 and wants the ‘Rolls Royce’ player to be part of his midfield at the Hawthorns next season.
Injuries haven’t been kind to Rodwell during his time with City but he’s also a player that will continue to find his chances limited it would seem with it said ‘he wants out’ but any move to West Brom would almost certainly have to be on loan as City will not ‘give him away’ will they!
A season away on loan could well end up being the best thing for the former Everton man, City, England and whatever club he joins on loan?
