Stats show four Man City players top Premier League charts this season [Opinion


Manchester City finished the weekend second in the Premier League after their 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Sky Blues are top of the table for goals scored (23) and second for goals conceded (6), but it’s not just the club that are outperforming their rivals.

Pep Guardiola’s players have been outstanding too, with four in the City first-team topping the charts for individual achievements.

Erling Haaland is top of the table for goals scored (11 this season). He doesn’t get too involved in the build-up play but is ruthless in the final third. The 22-year-old has hit the target with 17/27 of his shots and has scored from 40.7% of them.

Kevin De Bruyne is top of the table for assists made (6) and is second in the table for chances created (3.6 per game on average). He’s the best playmaker in the top-flight and is contributing a goal a game.

Rodri is top of the table for most passes made (92.4 per game on average) and turns over the ball 1.9 times per game on average (tackles and interceptions). John Stones is top of the table for pass competition (96.8% per game on average), so he’s one of the best ball-playing defenders in the league.
