Newswires across Europe are talking up the resurrection of talks between Manchester City and AC Milan for the transfer of on strike striker Carlos Tévez…

Gazzetta dello Sport and France Football both report this weekend that a series of telephone exchanges have taken place between Adriano Galliani, Milan’s Chief Executive, and Khaldoon al-Mubarak, City’s Chairman, with a view to realising Tévez and his cronies dispatch to Italy by Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

The story goes that despite signing Maxi Lopez, AC’s veteran striker Filippo Inzaghi is to be up the road shortly, meaning Milan need a further striker reinforcement.

It’s thought that Milan are close to meeting City’s £25 million knockdown asking price for the homesick-England sick-City hierarchy hating then loving-Mancini loving then hating nut job.
