An intrigue packed Premier League season promises more twists and turns to come after another round of big results. Post Match Reaction to City’s battle at the Emirates Alamo…

Roberto Mancini:

‘We wanted to win but Arsenal played better than us…We defended very well in the second half. If we came here with all our players I think it could have been another game but after four games, 10 points in 10 days is good…It was important not to lose this game.

‘They had good chances in the first 15-20 minutes. After that they had good possession but didn’t have more chances to score.

‘It’s not a sending off for Zabaleta. For me, two yellow cards was enough.’

Arsene Wenger:

‘We are frustrated but I am proud of our performance individually and collectively. We faced a Man City who were determined not to lose and set up to prevent conceding goals…City defended very well and in numbers.

‘We were unlucky. We hesitated sometimes and their ‘keeper had a good game. That made it a nil nil. For me it was more of a positive nil nil than a negative one.

No matter what kind of problem you face you have to resolve it and tonight we were not able to do that despite our quality.’

Kolo Toure:

‘Strikers win you games but defenders win you titles…

‘It was a really difficult game. Arsenal are really in form at the moment. The draw is really good.

‘It was difficult to have chances because Arsenal played very well, but it’s good that we didn’t lose the game.’

Joe Hart:

‘That just shows how much grit and determination we’ve got. We led a charmed life but the goals are the same size in every game so they’ve got to put it into the net.’

In The VMC Forums:

snowleopard:

‘That’ll do us boys! Excellent battling point and keeps us second on a night when both Chelsea and Spuds lose!’

Stu MCFC:

‘He went for a result and got it as Chelsea and Spurs dropped points. The media and foamers will tear into us but that was classic Mourinho-esque grinding.’

Scragg:

‘Completely strangled them. Rode the storm well and defended with steel. However, Yaya bugged me, he was lazy. But the Zabaleta sending off was a disgrace and I hope the club appeal the decision. Overall, with the absences of Silva and Mario and with the expected signing of Dzeko; it’s looking good!’
