Carlos Borges and Jardel Katongo joined the first-team for City’s pre-match training session and Simon Bajkwoski of the Manchester Evening News says Adedire Mebude was called up too.

The 18-year-old joined Man City from Rangers in 2020 and has gone on to score 15 goals with 19 assists from 30 games for the U18s, score three goals with one assist from seven games for the U19s and scored six goals with four assists from 16 games – 24 goals and 24 assists at youth level.
This season, Mebude has scored eight goals with five assists from 16 games across the board, so he’s doing everything in his power to make a statement. Vital Man City predicted that Cole Palmer stands a greater chance of starting on the wing if Jack Grealish or Riyad Mahrez is dropped, but Mebude should feature in some capacity.
He’s been prolific at youth level but has yet to make his senior debut for City, so Wednesday’s meeting at Sevilla could be a landmark occasion.
