Report: Goalkeeper could leave Man City this summer, player ‘likely to seek a permanent move’

Arijanet Muric has been short of playing time in his six years at Manchester City and the Mirror believe he’ll be on his way out this summer as a result. The 22-year-old has spent the majority of his stint at the Etihad Stadium out on loan, so he’s ‘likely to seek a permanent move’ at the end of the season.

Muric joined City from Grasshopper Club Zurich in 2015 and has gone on to make 24 appearances for the U18s, 17 appearances for the U23s and five appearances for the first-team. The Kosovan international has been loaned out to NAC Breda (2018), Nottingham Forest (2019/20), Girona (2020/21) and Willem II (2021) without setting the place alight, so his stock isn’t exactly high.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper finds himself behind Ederson, Zach Steffen and Scott Carson in the pecking order and last featured for City at senior level in 2018/19, so the writing looks on the wall for Muric. His existing deal at the Etihad runs until 2024, but the Mirror believe he will be moved on much sooner.

That being said, it remains to be seen which clubs are keen to procure his signature.
