According to a report from Belgian outlet HLN via Sport Witness, Man City are ‘ready to sit down and talk‘ with star midfielder Kevin De Bruyne at the end of the season to discuss a potential new contract at Eastlands – with many Man City fans buzzing over the ‘reliable’ report.
De Bruyne, who has played out a brilliant individual campaign with the Sky Blues, registering 16 assists in the Premier League over 25 appearances, recently hinted to HLN that he would have to consider his future if City’s two-year European ban was upheld.
However, in response to circulated rumours that this could mean De Bruyne is heading for the exit door, HLN have published a follow up piece claiming City and the playmaker are ready to negotiate over a new deal at the end of the season – with the club seeing him as our star player for ‘the next five years‘.
