According to a report from Foot Mercato, Man City are eyeing a swoop for Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara this summer along with winger Kingsley Coman – prompting plenty of Sky Blues to react over the update.
Thiago, who has featured regularly for the Bundesliga giants this season, has just one-year remaining on his contract at the Allianz Arena – with a recent report from Sport Bild claiming he backed out of negotiations over an extension.
Should City sign Thiago?
Yes, get the deal done
No, not good enough
Now, with his future seemingly up in the air, many City supporters are debating the merit of a move on Twitter – with the 29-year-old ‘baller‘ attracting plenty of debate.
Completing 90.5% of his passes this season, as per WhoScored, scoring three goals in 20 league starts, it’s clear that Thiago could suit Pep Guardiola’s style of play given the emphasis on possession based football.
However, despite the numbers, these Sky Blues have delivered an array of mixed opinions over the £209,000-per-week ace online.
