City have today confirmed the signing of Swedish number 1, Andreas Isaksson, for a fee believed to be in the region of £2 million.
After the departure of David James, to Pompey, this week it was imperative that the blues brought a replacement in as soon as possible.
Isaksson could well be Pearce’s best signing of the summer considering he cost not much more than the club received from Portsmouth for James.
Isaksson has 10 years on the former City number 1 and is rated highly throughout Europe.
