Stuart Brennan of the Manchester Evening News says Leeds United and Brighton & Hove Albion are ‘watching’ the 19-year-old. Brentford are also considering a move if they’re promoted to from the Championship too.

Harwood-Bellis has Ruben Dias, John Stones, Aymeric Laporte, Eric Garcia and Nathan Ake for competition, so he might struggle for first-team football next season. MEN say another loan move is the ‘most likely option’ as a result.

The England U20 international has made 21 appearances for the U18s, 10 appearances for the U19s, 40 appearances for the U23s and eight appearances for the senior side (Transfermarkt). He’s made 11 appearances while on loan at Blackburn and has impressed at centre-back, so his future looks bright.

There will be a lot of offers to weigh up in the coming months. And while Garcia is expected to leave this summer, there are still four defenders standing in Harwood-Bellis’ way of getting opportunities with the Sky Blues, so he’s best off getting senior football elsewhere for another campaign.

In other news, Eric Garcia confirms he’s leaving Manchester City and says he ‘made the decision’ not to renew his contract
