According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Manchester City are closing in on a four-and-a-half-year deal for Filip Stevanovic who will spend the remainder of the season on loan at Partizan Belgrade.

TMW say he’ll cost €8m (£7.26m), but Manchester Evening News previously said the 18-year-old’s transfer fee was £6m. Mozzart Sport said an agreement was made last week, but there’s been no official confirmation yet.

Stevanovic rose through the youth ranks to the Partizan first-team in 2018 and has gone on to make 53 appearances in all competitions, scoring 12 goals with five assists.

The Serbian winger has scored three goals and made two assists in 10 Super liga Srbije games this season, meaning he’s created more goals than Kevin De Bruyne (1), Raheem Sterling (1) and Riyad Mahrez (1).

Stevanovic should officially join City when the winter transfer window opens, but supporters won’t see him in action until the following season.

The 18-year-old will have stiff competition for a starting place in 2021 with Sterling, Mahrez, Bernardo Silva and Ferran Torres at the Etihad, but here’s hoping he can realise his potential here.
