Jack Grealish underperformed in Manchester City’s 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund and could be dropped for Saturday’s trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers as a result.

When his side were 1-0 down in midweek, Pep Guardiola took off his £100m playmaker and brought on Phil Foden, so there’s reason to believe he’ll make that change from the off this time.

Grealish not only underperformed on Wednesday night, failing to register a shot on target, whip in an accurate cross or make a successful dribble, he’s been bad all season. The 27-year-old has failed to score or make an assist from five appearances across the board, so he might benefit from being taken out of the spotlight.

Foden, on the other hand, has scored two goals with two assists from nine games in all competitions this season, so it’s a no-brainer for Guardiola to pick the 22-year-old against Wolves. He’s contributing in the final third while Grealish is struggling, so City can’t have any passengers at Molineux.
