Report: Man City player ‘would consider’ move to PL rivals, talks can begin over pre-contract deal

Sergio Aguero will leave Manchester City at the end of the season, but Mike McGrath of the Telegraph says he may not leave the country.

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Aguero and the 32-year-old ‘would consider’ a move to a Premier League rival so he can add to his prolific goal tally.

Aguero is able to talk with clubs over a pre-contract deal, but suitors are reportedly weighing up what proposal to put to him.

The Telegraph say Arsenal and Manchester United are out of the picture, but the Argentine international has interest from Barcelona, so he has a lot to consider in the coming months.

Aguero has scored 257 goals and made 73 assists in 385 games for City since his move from Atletico Madrid in 2011, so he’ll be a difficult player to replace and a brilliant asset for another side.

Chelsea are currently fifth in the Premier League while Tottenham are sixth, so both clubs may not be playing Champions League football next season. The Telegraph add Aguero isn’t necessarily put off by that prospect, however, so a move to another top-flight outfit can’t be discounted.
