Nasri Still Knocking About With Arsenal

Could Arsenal’s beleaguered manager Arsene Wenger be on the brink of securing the continued services of French International midfielder Samir Nasri?

The ‘Little Prince of Marseille’ is back in training with his Gunners team mates and Wenger had this to say this morning on the future of the gifted player:

“Ideally I want Samir Nasri to stay, but as much as we were in a strong position on the contract side with Cesc, the situation is a bit different, but hopefully we can sort the situation out.”

The dreary Fabregasgate saga is almost concluded in Barcelona and the last thing misfiring Arsenal need is Nasri heading up the road to join City’s continued resurgence.

French news agencies report this afternoon that the Nasri to City transfer hangs in the balance and this may yet come down to the player himself having the final say as opposed to Arsenal’s boardroom who want to bank a sizeable fee.

Meanwhile, Wenger has denied any interest in signing Carlos Tevez despite various straw clutching articles knocked out by a couple of well known Arsenal favouring hacks this past weekend.

More transfer tomfoolery as we get it…
