Official: Man City confirm sixth departure of the summer

Manchester City have confirmed their sixth departure of the summer – Jack Harrison to Leeds United. Angelino has joined RB Leipzig, Sergio Aguero has joined Barcelona, Issa Kabore is on loan at Troyes, Eric Garcia has joined Barcelona and Marlos Moreno is on loan at KV Kortrijk.

Harrison’s move to Leeds was expected as the Whites had an obligation to buy when they agreed a third loan move last season, but it’s a significant moment for the 24-year-old. He’s now a permanent player at Elland Road and played his part in United enjoying their highest finish in the Premier League since 2002

The wide-man has made 128 appearances in all competitions for Leeds, scoring 18 goals with 20 assists. He had a hand in 16 goals from 38 league games last season, creating 59 chances, making 42 successful dribbles and whipping in 167 crosses.

Harrison is a talented player but never stood a chance at City with Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez, Ferran Torres, Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva for competition. The 24-year-old failed to make an appearance in his three years at the Etihad but has made a name for himself at Leeds.
