Diego Rosa played for just four minutes in Vizela’s 2-2 draw with Boavista on Sunday, replacing Kiko Bondoso near the end of normal time. The 20-year-old had even less time on the pitch in Vizela’s 1-0 defeat to Santa Clara eight days ago, so he must be frustrated with the lack of opportunities.
Rosa was handed a few starts in the Primeira Liga upon his arrival at the Estadio do Futebol Clube de Vizela but was named on the bench for the seventh consecutive game and might want to cut his loan spell short if he’s not going to play more.

The uncapped Brazilian has made nine appearances in all competitions from a possible 12, amassing just 306 minutes of football from 1080.
Rosa finds himself behind Alex Méndez and Samu Silva in the pecking order and is contracted with Vizela until the summer of 2023, so he won’t be happy at his season spiralling so quickly.
City signed Rosa from Gremio in 2021 and instantly loaned him out to Lommel SK of the City Football Group. He made 29 appearances, scoring two goals with two assists, but hasn’t had the same impact in Portugal.
Time will tell if he can get back in favour with Álvaro Pacheco.
