Despite arguably being somewhat at fault for Southampton’s winning goal during our 1-0 loss at St Mary’s on Sunday afternoon, with Man City gearing up to play Newcastle tonight, some Sky Blues have stuck up for goalkeeper Ederson ahead of the Etihad clash – claiming he ‘passes better than Pogba‘ and is ‘amazing’.
The Brazilian, who is arguably undergoing a dry spell of form between the sticks, most recently being off his line for Che Adams’ strike and gifting the ball to Scott McTominay for Man United’s second during the derby, has been at the centre of praise from these supporters regardless.
Who is your favourite Man City keeper of the last decade?
Joe Hart
Ederson
Willy Caballero
Indeed, given his contribution since putting pen to paper on a £35 million deal from Benfica back in 2017, it’s fair to say these Citizens do not have short memories.
Despite his recent costly mistakes, it’s evident that the 26-year-old is still a huge asset at playing out from the back, displayed during our most recent loss on the south coast.
Now, with the Magpies up next this evening, City supporters have had plenty to say regarding Ederson – find all of their best comments down below.
He passes better than Pogba

He hasn’t been the best this season but he’s still quality. The way he comes out of his box quickly and his distribution is just amazing.

He is doing on he is asked to do, and he is by miles better on what Pep expect from his keeper
