Lukas Nmecha joined RSC Anderlecht on a season-long loan last summer and has impressed under Vincent Kompany, so much so that Real Madrid are paying attention.
Defensa Central say Los Blancos are ‘watching over’ the 22-year-old and have scouts ‘preparing reports’ for Zinedine Zidane ahead of a potential approach for a striker at the end of the season.
Nmecha is one of many players on Real’s radar, however, so it remains to be seen if they’ll make an official bid for the German U21 international.

Nmecha rose through the youth ranks to City’s first-team in 2017/18 and has gone on to make three appearances in all competitions at senior level.
The 22-year-old scored 15 goals with three assists in 16 games for City’s U18s, eight goals with one assist in 14 games for the U19s and 27 goals with four assists in 35 games for the U23s (Transfermarkt), so he’s proven himself a prolific striker.
Nmecha’s lack of opportunities at the Etihad Stadium have led to him being loaned out to Preston North End (44 games, three goals, eight assists) in 2018/19, Vfl Wolfsburg (12 games) in 2019/20, Middlesbrough (13 games) in 2019/20 and Anderlecht (32 games, 16 goals) in 2020/21, but City might lose him if they can’t provide him with first-team football.
Real aren’t likely to be the only club interested after his impressive stint in Belgium and Nmecha will be out of contract next year, so City might have a decision to make this summer.
