Report: Club ‘considering’ loaning £8.3m-rated Man City youngster ‘next season’

|

Manchester City paid €10m (£8.3m) to sign Kayky on a five-year deal from Fluminense in 2021 and the 18-year-old has gone on to make three appearances for the U19s, 12 appearances for the U23s and two appearances at senior level.

With the likes of Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez, Jack Grealish and Phil Foden standing in his way of getting first-team, Kayky may have to leave to get playing time. Fanatik say Galatasaray hope to capitalise on the situation.

The Turkish Super Lig outfit currently sit 12th in the table with 35 points and are 10th for goals (37), so they could benefit from strengthening the attack when the season comes to a close. Gala are ‘considering’ a loan move for Kayky ‘next season’, but it remains to be seen if Man City will accept.

The Brazil youth international, who scored two goals and made one assist in 33 games for Fluminense, would surely jump at the chance to get first-team football if Pep Guardiola doesn’t consider himself ready for the step up at Man City.

Fanatik note that Gala manager Domenec Torrent worked with Guardiola at City, so the pair’s positive relationship could help with negotiations.
