Roberto Moves On

Former City boss Roberto Mancini’s return to management has lasted less than a year.

Sacked last summer, in favour of Manuel Pellegrini, the Italian wasn’t short of offers but decided that a spell in Turkey with Galatasaray was the way forward with him and he signed a three-year contract back in October 2013.

Fast forward to earlier this week and despite admitting Italian football and family he insisted that he was staying for the duration of his contract with him of the opinion that he has ‘done well so far’, making the last 16 of the champions league and winning the Turkish cup. Champions league football next season was also secured.

Now though it’s been confirmed that his contract has been ‘terminated by mutual agreement’…

It looks like he’ll be getting his return to Italy! I’m sure that all will wish him well with his next venture though with some claims being made that a surprise premier league return with Southampton could be on the cards?

Southampton isn’t quite Italy is it though!
