‘Class’ – Some fans say ‘incredible’ Man City man is an ‘insane talent’

|

Manchester City came from behind to win 2-1 against Aston Villa on Wednesday night and Phil Foden was one of many players to impress. The 20-year-old scored City’s equaliser after John McGinn put the hosts ahead early on and was outstanding throughout.

Foden has been fantastic all season for City and was lauded by supporters for his performance at Villa Park. No player created more chances, no player had more shots, no player had more accurate crosses and only one player had more successful dribbles, so the praise received on social media was justified.

Against Villa, Foden played for 90 minutes, had 88 touches, created three chances, had one shot on target from three efforts, completed 92.1% of his 63 passes, had eight crosses with three finding a teammate, had three successful dribbles, was fouled three times and made one tackle.

The England international has made 43 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 14 goals with nine assists. Foden hasn’t played much in the Premier League of late, starting just two games in the last two months, but he’s shown Pep Guardiola he’s indispensable.
