Reacting to this latest update in the CIES Football Observatory, many Man City supporters have been surprised by their valuations of our key players – with fans branding the emerged figures as ‘laughable‘ and an ‘injustice to football‘.
The data, which is updated weekly, publishes the latest estimated valuations surrounding some of football’s key stars – with City’s batch prompting plenty of debate on social media.
Out of the entire Sky Blue roster, winger Raheem Sterling has been dubbed the most expensive – worth around £195 million.
Bernardo Silva, Gabriel Jesus and Rodrigo follow closely behind with their triple figure prices, but the likes of Ederson and Ilkay Gundogan don’t quite reach that bracket.
Perhaps the most surprising value of all is De Bruyne’s £70.2 million estimate, a relatively low fee considering the stellar campaign he is enjoyed over 2019/2020.
Flocking to the CIES report, many City supporters didn’t hold back with their opinions – find all of their best comments down below.
King kevin de bruyne at 70 million is injustice to football and the transfer window 😐
