Manchester City fans were not happy with right-back Kyle Walker during our Premier League encounter with Leicester City on Sunday.
The experienced England international looked like he made a schoolboy error, letting Jamie Vardy run in behind and clattered into him to carelessly give away a penalty.
This was after we took the lead after a stunning strike from Riyad Mahrez, but Vardy’s penalty disrupted our flow in the match completely.
Walker, who is earning £110,000-a-week at the Etihad Stadium (per Spotrac), reminded me of a similar performance he put in against Crystal Palace two seasons ago, where he made several errors during the game and Pep Guardiola rightly called him out on it, via the Manchester Evening News.
He is one of the senior players in the dressing room and should know better, and understandably, this annoyed a lot of the supporters.
Here are some of the many reactions to Walker’s foul in the first half.
Time bench him and give the youth a chance. I rather lose with the youngsters than see experienced players give away goals with silly mistakes.

There weren’t many complaints about the decision from the referee, with many stating that it’s a typical Kyle Walker challenge. Not sure about that…
No complaints about the penalty, stupid from Walker. Barnes is causing a lot of problems for us when they decide to attack. #MCILEI #MCFC #ManCity

Kyle Walker with his usual idiotic mistake. We look slow, unimaginative and have zero hunger for this.
