Against Burnley, Mahrez had 71 touches, won two aerial duels, completed 85.7% of his 49 passes, created six chances, made one successful dribble, whipped in three crosses with 66.66% finding a teammate, made one tackle, had five shots with 60% hitting the back of the net, made one interception and won one free-kick.

The Algerian international opened the scoring in the sixth minute after being put through by Kevin De Bruyne, sliding the ball past the goalkeeper. He grabbed his and City’s second in the 22nd minute, firing an effort into the top corner after collecting the ball from a quick throw-in and cutting inside from the right flank. His third was a headed effort and saw Phil Foden take the assist.

Mahrez has made 13 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring four goals with one assist. The £43.2m-rated wide-man had been short of goal contributions before the Burnley clash, so here’s hoping he can go on a run.
