Sergio Aguero will leave Manchester City at the end of the season and Erling Haaland is the player City want to replace him. The 20-year-old is one of the most prolific strikers in Europe and on his way to becoming one of the best players on the continent, but The Sun say he’ll cost a tidy sum to sign.

Haaland has a €75m (£63.9m) release clause that will be activated in 2022, but Dortmund may consider letting him go for more than twice that price this summer.

The Sun believe the Bundesliga giants are requesting around £150m for Haaland, so City will have to smash their transfer record to bring him to the Etihad Stadium. And if they can open talks with the 20-year-old, he might cost them £600k-per-week.

Haaland may be worth the outlay, however, as he scored 20 goals in 50 games for Molde FK (2017 – 2019), 29 goals in 27 games for Red Bull Salzburg (2019 – 2020), 49 goals in 49 games for Dortmund (2020 – present) and six goals in nine games for Norway (2019 – present).

Replacing Aguero won’t be an easy task as he’s scored 257 goals in 384 games for City, but Haaland might be the one.

In other news, Real Madrid ‘eye’ Man City’s ‘spectacular’ player, 21 y/o could leave for only £7.3m
