Responding to social media account City Chief, many Sky Blue supporters have flocked to give their opinions surrounding defender John Stones – going on to claim that the Englishman should be sold and may be the ‘worst player at the club‘.
Stones, who has started just 10 league games under Pep Guardiola this season, in stark contrast to his regular appearances over 2018/2019, is debatably failing to rediscover his heights from when he was partnered with Aymeric Laporte last season – pundit Alan Shearer even claimed he would ‘love‘ to play against him.
The 25-year-old, still managing to register a brilliant 94% pass accuracy according to WhoScored, has arguably gone downhill since famously clearing that Salah attempt off the goal line – most recently slipping in the Carabao Cup final to allow Aston Villa a goal back during our 2-1 Wembley victory.
