Manchester City went 10 points clear atop of the Premier League after beating Everton 3-1 at Goodison Park and Bernardo Silva was named Man of the Match for his performance.
The 26-year-old started alongside Rodri and Phil Foden in midfield and had a hand in two of City’s three goals over the 90 minutes. Silva’s contributions often go under the radar, but he was lauded by supporters after a standout showing on Merseyside.

Against Everton, Silva had 74 touches, completed 96.8% of his 62 passes, created two chances, had three shots which all hit the target, whipped in two crosses, made one interception and had one successful dribble.
For City’s second goal, the Portuguese international collected the ball from a throw-in, forced Tom Davies to commit and freed Riyad Mahrez to cut inside and curl an effort past Jordan Pickford.
For their third goal, a clever one-touch move involving Mahrez and Gabriel Jesus saw Silva pick up the ball outside the area and work his way into the box to fire a low effort that Pickford couldn’t keep out.
The praise was more than deserved from supporters and Silva is in a rich vein of form right now with five goal contributions from his last seven league games. He’ll hope to impress against Arsenal on Sunday.
In other news, this is why Ilkay Gundogan missed Man City’s clash with Everton
