Man City player ‘told friends’ he could leave next summer

|

Jack Grealish is having a poor start to his second season at Manchester City that is matching his below-par debut campaign, and Football Insider say he’s expecting to leave next summer as a result.

The 27-year-old scored three goals with three assists from 26 Premier League games last season and only has one goal with zero assists from six games across the board this campaign.

He’s reportedly ‘told friends’ that he made a mistake joining City, but the reality is that a move away won’t come easy

City paid £100m to sign the England international and agreed a six-year deal worth £300k-per-week, so there aren’t many clubs in the world that can afford him.

And if Grealish is in poor form, why would a side break their transfer record and wage structure to sign him? Vital Man City have made this argument before and it’s the biggest reason why he’ll be staying at the Etihad Stadium despite Football Insider’s claims.

He’s too valuable an asset to be loaned out and won’t have many suitors due to the financial outlay, so Pep Guardiola will have to work hard on turning Grealish’s form around. City won’t willingly take a big loss on a player if they can help it, so they wouldn’t rush to sell him unless they’re getting a good deal.
