‘He’s on his way out’ – Player tipped to leave Man City as he ‘hasn’t had much game time’

Sergio Aguero might be in his final season at Manchester City as he’s out of contract in the coming months and has struggled for fitness and playing time. And with City having success lining up without a recognised striker in 2020/21, Aguero may no longer be needed by Pep Guardiola.

Ally McCoist believes the 32-year-old could be on his way out at the end of the season and points to the lack of minutes he’s amassed. He thinks that Aguero won’t be happy with being on the periphery, so his 10-year stay at the Etihad Stadium is coming to an end.

McCoist told talkSPORT Breakfast: “Sergio Aguero hasn’t had as much game time this season he would have liked and certainly I thought he would get, and it looks like he’s on his way out.”

The Argentinean international has made 14 appearances from a possible 46 in all competitions this season, scoring three goals. He’s amassed only 454 minutes from a possible 4140 due to injury and Jesus being preferred in attack (Transfermarkt).

Aguero returned from injury in mid-February but has often been an unused substitute and limited to rare appearances from the bench. If he can’t get back into the team, he’ll have to move on.

The fact City have been linked with Danny Ings, Patson Daka, Harry Kane, Darwin Nunez, Edin Dzeko, Romelu Lukaku, Ali Akman, Erling Haaland, Lautaro Martinez and Arek Milik as potential replacements for Aguero shows they are planning for life without him.

In other news, a club could sign Man City man for €10m, but Pep Guardiola could sign him back for €20m
